Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents and carers,
A huge well done to our Preschool pupils who have graduated this year and will be moving into our Reception classes. This is such a special milestone in their early learning journey and we are incredibly proud of all they have achieved.
For those children who may be moving on to other schools, I would like to wish them the very best of luck as they continue their learning journey beyond Avanti. Wherever they go next, I am confident they will continue to grow, thrive, and shine.
It has been a real joy to see them develop during their time with us, and I hope they carry forward many happy memories of their Preschool experience.
Warm regards,
Ms. A Thakore
Magical Moments
Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Avanti Fields is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!
End of year Picnic
As outlined in the school calendar, we are pleased to remind you that our End of Year Picnic will take place on the last day of term, Friday 10th July.
The picnic will begin at 11:30am and finish at 12:30pm. During this time, children will enjoy a special picnic menu, which will include:
Cheese and cucumber sandwiches
Cheese and salad wraps
Jam sandwiches
Children will be able to choose their preferred option on the day as a special treat.
All meals will be served with crisps, a drink, and a chocolate waffle. Please be assured that any children with allergies will be fully accommodated.
After the picnic, children will return to their classrooms to collect their belongings before dismissal at 12:45pm.
This will be a Teddy Bear Picnic, and we encourage children to bring their favourite teddy, doll, or soft toy to join in the fun.
Please note:
All year groups will be dismissed at 12:45pm.
Dismissal will take place in the usual locations, with the exception of Year 3, who will be dismissed from the Sunflower Room (near the Year 1 classrooms).
Parents of children in Year 2 and Year 3 are kindly reminded that this is a park and stride day.
There will be no after-school clubs during the final week of the academic year.
We look forward to celebrating the end of term with a fun and memorable event for the children.

Primary Art Gallery

This year at Avanti Fields, we are proud to announce that we successfully hosted our very first Primary Art Gallery in the Yoga Room. The gallery showcased the wonderful artwork created by our children and we were happy celebrating their creativity and achievements with parents after the Parent Induction Meetings held this week after school. You will be able to purchase your child's or children's canvas(es) through Arbour at £3.50 each until 6th of July, when the purchase window closes. Purchased canvases will then be sent home by class teachers before the end of the summer term.
WOW Travel News

A HUGE well done to our Primary School for staying in the top 10 (and top 3) of the WOW travel local schools' leaderboard! We are so thankful to all of our families who are travelling actively to school where possible. Not only are you supporting our environment, you are also supporting your wellbeing and finding that opportunity to have wonderful conversations on the walk to school which is crucial for our pupil’s development.
Pupils who travelled actively at least twice a week for the month of June will receive their monthly badge. There is one more to collect in July

Rights Respecting School information

Every week, children will be learning about an ‘Article of the Week’. This will help our children to learn and develop an understanding about the Convention on the Rights of the Child articles.
Rights Respecting School information
Article 31 – Rest, Play and Leisure
Every child has the right to relax, play and take part in a wide range of cultural and creative activities.
Why it matters: Article 31 is essential for children’s happiness and wellbeing. Play helps children develop social skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities. In a Rights Respecting School, we value play as an important part of learning and development.
At home activity: Plan a “Family Play Time”. Let your child choose a game or activity for everyone to enjoy together—this could be a board game, outdoor play or creative activity. Afterwards, talk about how play makes us feel and why it is an important right.
