Head of Secondary's Message
As we reach the end of another successful academic year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to making Avanti Fields School such a vibrant, caring and inspiring community.
A special thank you goes to Mrs Kansara for organising our Winning House Celebration. Congratulations to Earth House for being crowned this year's House Champion - a fantastic achievement that reflects the enthusiasm and teamwork.
I would also like to recognise the outstanding work of Mrs Kansara and Miss Jones in providing our students with a wealth of leadership opportunities that have enabled them to develop confidence, responsibility and strong character. Through initiatives such as our House competitions, Prefect Team, House Captains, Sports Ambassadors, Student Council and the Spiritual Podcasts, students have been encouraged to lead, serve others and make a positive contribution to our school community. The Spiritual Podcasts, in particular, have created a meaningful forum where students have been able to explore faith, spirituality, belief and personal identity through authentic and thoughtful conversations with members of staff.
My sincere thanks also go to all of our staff for the exceptional learning and enrichment opportunities they provide across the curriculum. Their unwavering dedication, enthusiasm and commitment ensure that our students receive an education that extends far beyond the classroom and enables every child to flourish academically, personally and spiritually.
I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our Pastoral and Inclusion teams for the care, guidance and support they provide to our students and families every single day. Their compassion and commitment make an immeasurable difference to the wellbeing and success of our school community.
To our Year 11 students, we are incredibly proud of the determination, resilience and maturity you have shown throughout your GCSE journey. You have represented the school with pride, and we wish each and every one of you every success when you collect your GCSE results on Thursday 20th August 2026. Whatever your next steps, we know you have bright futures ahead, and we look forward to celebrating your achievements with you.
Finally, I would like to thank all of our parents and carers for your continued support, encouragement and partnership throughout the year. Your support plays an invaluable role in helping our students to thrive, and we are truly grateful for all that you do.
On behalf of everyone at Avanti Fields School, I wish you and your families a restful, enjoyable and safe summer break. We look forward to welcoming our students back in the new academic year, refreshed and ready for another exciting year of learning and growth.

The Art Department: Y8 Artwork
Celebrating the work of our Y8 artists: A selection of sketchbook work inspired by handheld objects from the ‘Astro Chicken’ series designed by a Product Design lecturer at DMU. Students explored Paper cutting, wax resist and brusho techniques and played with colour in the Elements project last term.
Art Department Celebrates Y6 Transition Day Art Collection
Well done to the Year 6 students in the Purple Class who decorated ceramic elephants with beautiful designs to take home as a reminder of their day at Avanti Fields and to show their teachers and parents what fun they had. Our fundraising for LOROS continues with the sale of more ceramic elephants at the Summer Fair this Saturday.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and supported the Avanti Fields School Summer Mela!
What an incredible day! We were delighted to see such a fantastic turnout from our school community and beyond. The atmosphere was amazing from start to finish, with families enjoying everything the Mela had to offer.
The fun fair was a huge hit, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and children having such a great time. Our entertainment throughout the day was fantastic, keeping everyone entertained with brilliant performances.
We were also honoured to welcome our local MP, Shivani Raja, who took the time to visit the event, meet members of our community and show her support for the school and the PTFA. See the photo below.
A big thank you to all of our stall holders, who helped make the event such a success. We received lots of positive feedback, and we're so pleased that everyone had a great day.
Most importantly, thank you to all of the parents, families, volunteers, staff and supporters who gave up their time, attended the event and supported the PTFA. Your continued support allows us to raise valuable funds that will go directly back into the school, helping provide even more opportunities for our children.
Together, we have shown what an amazing school community we have. We couldn't have done it without you, and we look forward to welcoming you all back to next year's Summer Mela!

Travel : Participants arrange their own transport, but we will assist with car-sharing coordination to help everyone get there.

- 08:00: Arrival at Snowdon
- 08:45: Meet your mountain leaders
- 09:15 : Hike begins (after safety briefing)
- 05:00: Hike completion
- 09:00: Approximate return to Leicester
