Primary Parent's Bulletin 03.10.25

Head of Primary's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to announce that we have now selected our Student Leaders for this year. These children have been chosen because they have shown dedication, responsibility, and a real enthusiasm for supporting our school community.

In their new roles, they will represent their peers, share ideas to help improve our school, and support younger children in setting a positive example. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to grow in confidence, develop leadership skills, and make a real difference.

We are incredibly proud of all the children who put themselves forward, and we are so excited to see our new leaders shine in their responsibilities this year.

Congratulations to all our Student Leaders who are listed below – we can’t wait to watch you flourish and inspire others!

Warm regards,

Ms Thakore

Rights Respecting Article of the week:

Every week, children will be learning about an ‘Article of the Week’. This will help our children to learn and develop an understanding about the Convention on the Rights of the Child articles.

Article 27: Every Child Has the Right to a Good Standard of Living Harvest and Sharing Food

Talk with your child about how harvests provide the food we eat and how it’s important that all children have enough to eat. Together, take a walk outside or visit a local market or garden and look for different foods that come from harvests—fruits, vegetables, grains, and more.

Encourage your child to collect or photograph some of the foods they see, and together create a small “Harvest Table” at home. You could arrange real fruits, vegetables, or grains, and even discuss ways to share food with family, friends, or neighbours.

This activity helps children connect with the sources of their food, appreciate the work that goes into growing it, and understand that every child has the right to enough food and a good standard of living.

Our very own WOW Ambassadors have been busy awarding Year 2 and Year 3 pupils with their September badges for travelling to school actively at least once a week.

Congratulations to those children who have been awarded and keep up the active travels in October!
