Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a wonderful week it has been at Avanti Fields! We are delighted to celebrate the success of our Reading Week alongside our vibrant Gaura Purnima festivities. The school has been filled with joy, creativity, and community spirit.
Our children embraced the dress-up day with such enthusiasm, and the Reading Door displays were truly a sight to behold—each one reflecting imagination and a love for reading. It was also heart-warming to see so many families join us for the parent workshops and the Gaura Purnima pooja. Your presence helped make the celebrations even more special.
We were thrilled to see so many pupils taking part in our competitions throughout the week—well done to everyone who joined in so confidently and creatively. A big congratulations to all our winners!
Thank you to our staff, families, and students for making this an unforgettable week of learning, celebration, and togetherness.
Warm regards,
Ms. A Thakore
Parent Helpers for School Trips – Expression of Interest
We are pleased to share that we are now inviting expressions of interest from parents who would like to support school trips for the remainder of this academic year and the 2026–2027 academic year.
Educational visits are a valuable part of our curriculum, and parent support can greatly enhance these experiences for our pupils. We are therefore looking to appoint:
2 parent helpers from Reception
2 parent helpers from Year 1
2 parent helpers from Year 2
2 parent helpers from Year 3
Expectations of a Parent Helper
Being a parent helper is a position of trust and responsibility. In order to ensure fairness, safeguarding, and the highest standards of conduct, please note the following expectations:
If selected, parent helpers will be asked to support year groups other than their own child’s class. This is to promote pupil independence and ensure appropriate boundaries.
Parent helpers must be willing to commit to supporting at least one trip during the academic year, if asked.
Parent helpers are expected to uphold and model the Avanti Way, living our values and virtues at all times — during the trip and in all interactions connected to the school community.
Parent helpers must follow all staff instructions and school policies, including safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
Safeguarding Requirements
Any parent selected will be required to:
Undergo a DBS check
Provide references
Complete any required safeguarding or health and safety briefing
Appointment will only be confirmed once all checks are satisfactorily completed.
Application Process
If you are interested, please complete the expression of interest form by Friday 13th March at 16:00.
Within the form, you will be asked to explain why you are interested in supporting school trips and what you feel you can contribute to the role.
Selection will be based on the quality of applications, followed by DBS checks and references.
We are grateful for the continued support of our parent community and look forward to working in partnership to enrich our pupils’ learning experiences.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Primary Sports Day Parent Volunteers
We are looking for Parent Volunteers to support us with our primary sports days.
If you are interested, please complete the form below and we will contact you should we require your assistance. Please note, the form will close on Friday 13th March 2026.
Thank you

Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Avanti Fields is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!

Rights Respecting School information

Every week, children will be learning about an ‘Article of the Week’. This will help our children to learn and develop an understanding about the Convention on the Rights of the Child articles.
Rights Respecting Article of the week: 📚 World Book Day – Articles 17, 29 & 31
Children have the right to access information, to an education that develops their talents, and to rest, play, and creativity.
World Book Day celebrates the joy of reading, storytelling, imagination, and learning — all of which support children’s development.
Why it matters:
Reading supports learning and understanding
Stories help children explore ideas and emotions
Creativity and enjoyment are essential for wellbeing
At-home activity:
Share a favourite story together. Talk about the characters, the message, or create an alternative ending. Children could design a new book cover or write a short story.
Attendance:
1st Rank | Chestnut & Bluebell 100% |
2nd Rank | Cedar 99.2% |
3rd Rank | Snowdrop 98.3% |
