Primary Parent's Bulletin 12.02.26

Head of Primary's Message

 Dear Parents and Carers,

As we come to the end of a very positive half term, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support. The children have shown great enthusiasm and dedication in their learning, participating in a range of engaging activities — including our exciting Number Day, which was enjoyed by everyone.

We look forward to the new term with much anticipation, as we prepare to celebrate Gaura Purnima and take part in our upcoming Reading Week. Both events promise to be wonderful opportunities for the children to learn, share, and grow together as a community.

Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable break.

Warm regards,

 Ms. A Thakore

Magical Moments

Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Avanti Fields is all about.

We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!

WOW Walk to School News

This term we welcomed Year 1 pupils on board with our Walk to school initiative- 18 badges achieved in January, so well done Year 1 for a good start. Thank you to all of those families getting involved in helping our school car park to be a safer place, supporting our environment and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

Exciting news- the Year 1,2 and 3 pupils were asked to take part in a ‘Design a new WOW badge’ competition this month. Our WOW Ambassadors have carefully selected 3 designs to be entered into the WOW competition, well done to Miya in Year 1, Siya N in Year 2 and Tia in Year 3. If one of our pupils’ entries wins, their design will be used on a WOW travel badge available next academic year. Good luck to our 3 chosen pupils 😊 Watch this space...

Rights Respecting School information

Every week, children will be learning about an ‘Article of the Week’. This will help our children to learn and develop an understanding about the Convention on the Rights of the Child articles.

Rights Respecting Article of the week:

Safer Internet Day – Articles 17, 19, 34

Safer Internet Day is marked on 7 February every year.

We all have a right to feel safe and secure and that means safe online as well as in the real world. Safer Internet Day is an annual event that promotes the safe, responsible and positive use of the internet.

Why does this matter:

  • We use the internet daily

  • We need to learn how we can keep safe online

At home activity:

Talk about how things might go wrong with friendships online.

Try to make up some examples and then work out ways of resolving or sorting out these difficulties. Remember some situations might require adult help.

Design an advice guide to share your ideas.
