Head of Primary's Message
This week, the children have taken part in a very successful Anti-Bullying Week, beginning with our fun and vibrant Odd Socks Day. It was wonderful to see so many pupils celebrating what makes us all unique. Throughout the week, the children have been reflecting on the importance of kindness, respect and empathy, and exploring how their words and actions can make a positive difference to others.
We also marked Remembrance Day with thoughtful discussions across the school. The children showed great maturity as they learned about the significance of remembrance and took time to reflect on those who have served and sacrificed.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us nurture a caring and respectful school community.
Warm regards,
Ms. A Thakore
Magical Moments
Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Avanti Fields is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!

Rights Respecting School information

Every week, children will be learning about an ‘Article of the Week’. This will help our children to learn and develop an understanding about the Convention on the Rights of the Child articles.
Rights Respecting Article of the week:
Anti-Bullying Week
Articles which link to this topic: 2,12,13,19
Article 12 - Every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously. This right applies at all times, for example during immigration proceedings, housing decisions or the child’s day-to-day home life.
Anti-bullying Week is held each year in November and is a time for all of us to think about how we can develop positive relationships in school based on dignity and respect, take a proactive approach to preventing bullying and also support people who have faced or are facing bullying. We spoke about what bullying is, how it can make people feel, and what we can do about it.
Here is a linked activity you can do at home:
Watch this video about Topsy and Tim helping their classmate. What is happening to Stevie? What do Topsy and Tim do to help? What would you do if you saw someone in your class being bullied.
