Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
A huge well done to our Year 2 children who delivered a wonderful assembly this week based on Great Fire of London! Assemblies like these are fantastic opportunities to celebrate learning and showcase the incredible progress our pupils are making. They also provide a chance for children to develop their character, as speaking up and sharing in front of an audience takes courage, confidence, and resilience.
Well done to all the children involved – you made us very proud!

Warm regards,
Ms. A Thakore
Magical Moments
Every two weeks, we take time to celebrate the Magical Moments happening across our school — those special sparks of curiosity, creativity, and deep learning that make each day meaningful. Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Avanti Fields is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!

Parents Consultation Evening : 20th & 22nd January 2026
We Are Mathematicians Week – February 2026
We are excited to be celebrating We Are Mathematicians Week in school, filled with fun, engaging activities that inspire a love of numbers and problem-solving.
The week will begin with a launch assembly, followed by competitions and creative dress-up activities to bring maths to life.
Parents and carers are warmly invited to join our “Stay and Count” sessions, where you can spend time in class taking part in maths activities with your child:
4th February – Pre-school Stay and Count: 8:00am – 9:00am
4th February – Reception & Year 1 Stay and Count: 1:45pm – 2:15pm
5th February – Year 2 & Year 3 Stay and Count: 1:45pm – 2:15pm
6th February : Number day dress up
The week will end with NSPCC Number Day on 6th February, when children are invited to come to school dressed as rock stars with a number or mathematical theme. This year, we are combining the Times Table Rock Stars theme with Number Day — so let the creativity begin!
We kindly ask each child to bring £1 as a donation to support the NSPCC on this day.
We look forward to a fantastic week of maths fun and learning!
Stars of the week
Each week, we celebrate a pupil who truly embodies the values of the Avanti Way—whether it’s showing compassion, demonstrating self-discipline, striving for excellence, or fostering spiritual insight. This recognition is more than just good work—it's about living our values and inspiring others to do the same.

Rights Respecting School information

Every week, children will be learning about an ‘Article of the Week’. This will help our children to learn and develop an understanding about the Convention on the Rights of the Child articles.
Article of the week: 🌍 Mental Health Awareness Week – Article 24
Mental Health Awareness Week occurs every year in May and is an ideal time for us all to think about mental health, tackle stigma, and discuss how we can create school environments that protect our mental wellbeing.
Why it matters:
When we understand our rights, we can speak up kindly, make good choices, and help create a fair and caring world for everyone.
At-home activity: Helping others and being kind can make us feel happier. Make a 'thank you' card for someone you know to surprise them or make a ‘thank you’ chart or ‘tree’ for your class and ask everyone to put messages onto it. It’s the job of duty bearers to make sure you get all your rights but it’s good to thank them!
