Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted with how well the children have settled into the new school year – they are already showing great enthusiasm for their learning. Thank you to all parents who joined us for the Year 1 Reading Workshop; it was a successful and positive way to strengthen our home–school communication.
A reminder to please sign up for Parents’ Evening, where we look forward to discussing your child’s progress. If you need to speak with your child’s teacher at any other time, please follow the correct procedure by contacting the school office.
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Ms Thakore
Magical Moments

Whether it’s a breakthrough in understanding, a beautifully presented piece of work, or a moment of teamwork and joy, these snapshots capture the best of what learning at Avanti Fields is all about.
We’re proud to share and celebrate these moments with our school community!

Rights Respecting Article of the week:
Every week, children will be learning about an ‘Article of the Week’. This will help our children to learn and develop an understanding about the Convention on the Rights of the Child articles.
Article 2: All Children Have Rights, No Matter Who They Are Celebrating Differences
Talk with your child about how every child is special and deserves to be treated fairly, no matter their background, appearance, language, or beliefs. Together, make a list of the unique things that make your child who they are, as well as things that make their friends and family special too.
Encourage your child to create a display titled “We Are All Unique” by drawing self-portraits of themselves and their friends, or by making a collage of words and pictures that show different qualities and talents.
This activity helps children value equality, appreciate diversity, and understand that rights belong to every child, everywhere.

Reminder: .Upcoming Parents’ Evening – Early Connection, Strong Start
At Avanti Fields, we believe that strong partnerships between school and home set the foundation for a successful year. That’s why we hold our first Parents’ Evening early in the academic year—to give you the opportunity to:
Get to know your child’s class teacher
Understand how your child has settled into their new year group
Receive practical guidance on how to support their learning at home
Each appointment will last no longer than 10 minutes to ensure fairness and equal time for all families.
During your meeting, the teacher will share:
How your child has progressed since the last report or meeting
What we’ve noticed they’re excelling in—both academically and personally
Their next steps, and how you can support these areas effectively at home
We encourage all parents to attend, as early collaboration helps set the tone for a positive and productive year ahead.
Please book your child’s parents evening appointment via Arbor.
Please ensure you book your meeting slot via Arbor by Friday, 26th September at 4:00pm.
The sign-up system will automatically close after this time, and no further bookings will be accepted.
Thank you for your cooperation.
