Head of Secondary's Message

We were delighted to welcome our Year 7 parents earlier this week to meet their child’s tutor. The atmosphere throughout the evening was warm and positive, and it was wonderful to see so many families connecting and learning more about their child’s start at Avanti Fields School. Thank you to all who attended and contributed to such a successful evening.

As we approach the final week of this half term, there is plenty to look forward to across the school. Our Year 8 students will be visiting the Black Country museum, several competitions will be taking place, and we will be celebrating our Diwali Festival day. It is also the final week of the Year 11 mock exams, and we wish our students continued focus and success as they complete this important stage of their preparation.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement — it makes a real difference to our students and school community.

Diwali Festival Day: Thursday 16th October

Alongside the various Diwali festival day activities, a special Diwali lunch menu will be served outline below:

Sports Fixtures update

Another great success in Avanti extra-curricular sport. Well done to the Girls KS4 Basketball team who played in the East Leicestershire competition and won 2 games, drew 1 game and only lost 1 game. Incredible results and player of the match was Priyanshi P who put in some hard work with interceptions and remained calm on and off the ball. Big thank you to Mr. Cheung who took the girls to this fixture.

Lost Property display

Lost property display will be arranged on Wednesday 15.10.25 between 15:30 – 16:00pm outside the Reception Area. Students are advised to check the display and collect any of their lost belongings during this time.

Please note that any unclaimed items will be donated after the display.

Gujarati Lessons – Autumn Term 2

We are excited to announce that Gujarati lessons will commends after half term, starting on Monday 3rd November. Lessons will take place every Monday during term time.

🔹 Location: [Maths Rooms]

🔹 Cost for Autumn Term 2 : £24.00 per student (for 6 lessons)

🔹 Registration: Via Arbor

🔹 Sign-Up Window: Will Opens Monday 13th October at 5:00 PM until Friday 17th October at 5:00 PM ( Via Arbor Paid clubs)

The club is a paid activity for Autumn Term 2. Students will be assessed by the teacher at the beginning, and grouped according to their ability levels to ensure the best learning experience for all.
